The first-ever winner of The Ultimate Fighter, competing just before Forrest Griffin at the TUF 1 finale, Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez dispatched Kenny Florian with relative ease. This was the start of a 32-fight UFC run that saw Sanchez contend for a title, land in the UFC Hall of Fame, and cement his place as a legend of the sport.

After losing to Urijah Faber at WEC 26, Dominick Cruz would regroup, drop to bantamweight, and kickstart a legacy by winning seven straight fights on the blue canvas. Forrest Griffin didn’t just win season one of The Ultimate Fighter; the legendary barnburner he put on with the late Stephan Bonnar in the finals is a hall-of-fame-worthy fight.
