A heated, personal rivalry with former teammate and then Bantamweight champ Cody “No Love” Garbrandt would come to a quick and violent head as former Bantamweight king TJ Dillashaw reclaimed his crown by TKO in the second round. Down on the scorecards and in need of a miracle, Yair “El Pantera” Rodriguez landed a hellacious no-look elbow on the “Korean Zombie” to score the KO victory one second shy of the fight’s 25th minute at the UFC’s 25th-anniversary event in 2018.

In his first and only UFC headlining spot, surging featherweight Zabit Magomedsharipov took on Calvin Kattar in a Fight of the Night worthy affair, claiming a decision victory. It would also be Magomedsharipov’s final professional fight, as he’d later retire, becoming one of the biggest “what-ifs” in MMA history.
