We know you are counting the days until the October 25th release of Battlefield 3, and that you’re eating up each new trailer we post, so today we’re very excited to debut the first video in a new series. Get ready for Operation Guillotine!
Set in Tehran, this nighttime mission shows how flexible the Frostbite 2 engine is at rendering photorealistic, war torn environments. The skies overhead light up from tracer fire and flares, harshly illuminating the urban heart of Iran's capital as infantry units begin their incursion.
In conjunction with the heavy emphasis on tone and story as elaborated by Lead Designer David Goldfarb in Battleblog #10, Battlefield 3 is set to bring the intensity of combat into your living room. You can see the full Operation: Guillotine teaser video below.
