EA Announces Changes To Executive Team

EA’s digital transformation is changing this company from top to bottom – including the roster and responsibilities of our most senior executives.  Today, we are announcing two more changes to the executive team.

Mark Tonnesen is joining EA as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, reporting to our CTO, Rajat Taneja. Mark comes to us with a wealth of leadership experience in managing information systems at McAfee, Logitech and Cisco. 

Moving IT out of our Finance group and into technology operation reflects the great importance we place on building EA’s technology infrastructure.  Rajat Taneja is assembling a team of engineers and technologists responsible for creating a technology structure for our games, services, customer information and much more.  Mark and his information technology team link directly into that infrastructure.  We’re grateful to have an executive of Mark’s caliber join EA at such an exciting time.

Also today we are announcing that Eric Brown, our CFO, will be leaving EA.  He has decided to join Polycom, a world leader in communications technology.  Eric’s decision was based on his career goal to combine his expertise in Finance with deeper involvement in Operations.  We have begun a search for a new CFO and will consider both internal and external candidates.  During that period, Ken Barker will serve as our interim CFO.  Ken has more than eight years of experience at EA and deep involvement and leadership over much of our Finance organization and we have enormous confidence in his ability to see EA through this transition.

There is no denying the pace of change at EA is accelerating. The successful launch of blockbusters like FIFA Soccer 12, Battlefield 3, The Sims Social and Star Wars: The Old Republic; smashing our goal for generating $1B in digital revenue; and the dramatic growth of Origin – each of these is a huge milestone in our digital transformation. EA will exit this fiscal year a profoundly different company than we were at the start.  From here on, change is constant.

    I have been unable to find an e-mail address for EA help in any of the forums or here. I need technical help regarding a matter that I can't find addressed in the forums. I've tried to obtain help by going through your new Help setup, but have had no luck there - only suggestion given is to go into the forums. I've been a Pogo club member since its inception and am really frustrated with this matter.

    I am having trouble too getting help I have worked hours on stellar sweep took a break from it to do my daily challenges and when I came back I lost all the points I had earned. What good is a support system if we cant reach you for help? I have trouble sitting at one game for very long I need to change to rest my eyes I have almost 2500 badges I take pride in earning them but if you cant fix stellar sweep that is 1 badge I wont be able to get and that will make me an unhappy pogo member.

    I fully agree with grambame1....what is going on with Stellar Sweeper. I had 69 points last night when I signed off, this morning I had nothing and I had to re-activate the game. Why is there nobody we can turn to to get information and help. I am very unhappy about this situation

    as a paying member, im tired of all the problems pogo has lately,,didnt use to be this way,, i received my badge yesterday after they supposedly fixed the problem, posted in the chat to reactivate the badge . while playing the game i also got a personal badge, no problem, today they have another problem and my entire badge for this week is gone,,shows no progress what so ever.. just not right..i can see if they hadnt gotten the badge at all, but when i already got it???? what gives pogo, maybe the new executives can do a better job than the last, or i am considering cancelling my 9 yr membership

    wow, don't know what happened but lost my comment. Anyhow, I think this is totally unacceptable that we are having such problems with stellar sweeper. I really like that game too. Last night I was on my hubby's computer trying to get ahold of someone because my computer WON'T let me log into EA Says there is an error. That also needs to be repaired. Terrible that I can't reach anyone. So, I was playing Stellar and after 60 of 82 I got tired and decided to leave. When I came back later I was back to 0. I was dealing with Emit last night and was told they would give me the badge, I said fine. He also did the same for my hubby. This morning both of us had the badge and approx an hour later we were both back to 0. I refuse to play it again, my hubby is trying to. This should be an automatic badge for all of us.     I have not had access to hejp for several problems:1. I was sent several Emails erequesting to rejoin , but I was trying to speak to someone concerning the new format before I rejoin. I like the way I could play my favorite games. I have paid to rejoin, now I have commercials after each game. Whem I paid 29.99 to rejoin did that make me a POGO club member?     further, i also lost the count in stellar..never to get it replaced..i wanted to play monopoly slots for a badge last week -\ paid 16 gems that were taken from my account and game was never activated...have been unable to contact a representative for this matter for five days...what is up???
