EA Joins HRC Business Coalition for DOMA Repeal

EA has joined a business coalition formed by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to support ending federal discrimination against legally married gay and lesbian couples.

The Business Coalition for DOMA Repeal, announced today by the HRC, brings together Fortune 500 and brand name companies to support the Respect for Marriage Act. You can find out more about this coalition here.

EA joined a similar coalition back in July in signing an amicus brief to oppose DOMA, and was recently named a "Best Place to Work" by the HRC for demonstrating policies, benefits and practices that are best in class for LGBT employees.

Wow, one of my favorite game publishers is support the "disrespect" of marriage act. Why are they taking a stand on a political issue? Why don't they instead keep their focus on publishing great games?

Yes, why are you getting into political issues? Particularly one as divisive as this one! You can do as you wish with your company policies toward your employees, but stick to publishing games! Politics is a mine field! Or do you think conservatives don't play games?

Good job EA. Hopefully more companies will do the same.
