It’s that time of year again – EA is kicking off Movember around the globe to raise money and awareness for men’s health issues. Each November the Movember organization encourages moustache growing and fundraising for men’s health, specifically to cure prostate and testicular cancer. Last year we beat our own record and raised over $85,000 for the charity and we want to do even better in 2013.
This year, we have over 24 EA teams around the globe ready to fundraise and update us on their progress throughout the month. We’ll be sharing our progress with the hashtag #EAMovember on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook so be on the lookout. You can get involved by visiting our Movember fundraising page and making a donation.
This year, the FIFA team is also getting in on the action in a big way. Every time you score a goal in FIFA 14 in November you can perform the Movember celebration! Are you already devoted to FIFA Ultimate Team? EA SPORTS is hosting a Movember Cup Tournament, visit here for all the details and join in until November 7.
Raising money for charity during Movember is a prize enough, but why not make a little friendly competition out of it? Not to brag, but EA has won the Global Gaming Challenge the last two years, and we’re ready to take on our competitors in the videogame industry again this year and raise the most money globally for the cause.
