John Riccitiello with ESA’s Champion Honoree of 2012, Valve's Gabe Newell

The Entertainment Software Association Foundation (ESAF) hosted the 15th annual 'Nite to Unite - For Kids' gala last night, bringing together the most creative and successful companies in entertainment to make a difference in the lives of America's youth. Chairman of the ESA Board and our CEO John Riccitiello was on hand to honor Valve's Gabe Newell as the 2012 ESA Champion Honoree. Newell was recognized for his work in helping students develop critical problem-solving skills and giving teachers access to new learning software.

Proceeds from the event support ESAF's grantmaking and educational activities. It was a great night where our industry came together for a great cause and we want to extend our congratulations to Gabe Newell for this honor!
