Our quest to find the best FIFA 12 player amongst professional footballers arrived at Newcastle.
We were lucky to have Leon Best, Ryan Taylor, Haris Vučkić and Danny Simpson involved and after the names were drawn out of the hat we had a match-up of:
- Leon Best v Ryan Taylor, and
- Haris Vučkić v Danny Simpson

The final saw Vučkić’s Real Madrid take on Taylor’s Barcelona. In a tense first half some of the bystanders left due to ‘boring play’, not appreciating the Newcastle-spin on El Clásico! But it was actually just an absorbing midfield battle, honest. There weren’t many chances but Ryan Taylor made his count when he scored with a David Villa header in the 87 minute. He then proceeded to play keep-ball in the corner for the duration of added time – which didn’t impress Vučkić!
Congratulations to Ryan Taylor who becomes our FIFA 12 Champion at Newcastle. Very impressive given that he’s an Xbox player and we were using PS3s. Have a look at images of the day in the gallery below:
