NHL 12 Cover Athlete To Be Unveiled

 EA SPORTS will announce the next athlete to be featured on the cover of NHL 12 at the 2011 NHL Awards on Wednesday, June 22nd at 7pm ET on VERSUS in the US and CBC in Canada.

EA SPORTS will announce the next athlete to be featured on the cover of NHL 12 at the 2011 NHL Awards on Wednesday, June 22nd at 4pm PT/7pm ET on VERSUS in the US and CBC in Canada.

The announcement will be made with a video presentation during the Awards show, which is being hosted for the second time by comedian Jay Mohr.

Speculation is rampant – who knows who will get the honor this year? The past two players featured, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, hail from the Chicago Blackhawks, and I’m sure the team is itching for a hat trick. Patrick Sharp or Marian Hossa of the Blackhawks could potentially star on the cover, but they have some stiff competition from the likes of Boston's Tim Thomas and many others.
