Title? Community Engagement Team Intern
School? Waseda University
I’ve always wanted to work in an industry that I can relate to, on a personal level. I have never wanted to work in an industry that has been irrelevant to my life, thus far. That is why I chose to work in the entertainment industry. Along with my passion and love for music and movies, I have always enjoyed socializing with my friends through video games. I still remember the first FIFA game I bought, FIFA 03. Living in London back then, FIFA was, and still is, the go-to game when with friends. From spending the day at a park playing football (soccer), to watching an Arsenal match, to playing FIFA with my friends at night, that was basically my Saturday routine.
Thirteen years later, I decided to apply for an internship at a company that I would enjoy working at. People often express negativity towards work, claiming that it’s uninteresting or tedious. Yes, work isn’t relaxing, and may become stressful at times, but as soon as you start to feel less motivated, that’s when you know you have lost. Yet, if you cherish video games, or relish entertainment in general, I’m almost certain that you would constantly feel determined and motivated to work at EA. If you’re in the midst of deciding where to apply for an internship, you better apply for an industry that you hold a personal connection with. There is nothing better than enjoying what you do for a living.
