Reel Deals is back in Madden NFL 26, bringing players who crossed over both Hollywood and the football world. From NFL stars-turned-actors to actors with connections to football, Reel Deals has all the stars to help you turn the turf into the red carpet.

Reel Deals Event Overview

The Draft is over and it feels a little like the doldrums of the offseason. But that’s where Reel Deals comes in. Grab some popcorn and jump into Ultimate Team and start building your star-studded roster immediately. From upgradeable login players to Popcorn currency to the return of the Longest Drive H2H event, there’s something to entertain everyone in Reel Deals.

Doug Flutie

For the first time ever, legendary quarterback Doug Flutie is joining Madden Ultimate Team. Grab the former NFL Comeback Player of the Year winner just for logging in to Ultimate Team during the event.

Despite a long, dominant career in the NFL and beyond, Doug Flutie is best known for pulling off one of the most famous plays in college football history, the last-second Hail Mary touchdown pass for Boston College in 1984 against the Miami Hurricanes.

Flutie carved out a long and memorable pro career for the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, and more. After leaving the NFL for nearly a decade of championship-winning football in Canada, he returned to the NFL and continued his winning ways. With his scrambling ability, fearless attitude, and knack for big plays, Flutie is one of the most memorable players in NFL history.

Now, his next role is leading your team onto the gridiron with his upgradeable player item. You’ll also get Popcorn currency (details below) to upgrade Flutie, and you can earn more throughout the event.

Earnable Players

You can earn two more Reel Deals players just by playing Reel Deals events: Ray Nitschke (99 OVR) and Peyton Manning (96 OVR upgradable with Popcorn). Both of these two-time Super Bowl winners are getting new player items that you can slot right into your roster.

Ray Nitschke - Fullback

Hard-hitting middle linebacker Ray Nitschke spent his entire 15-year career with the Green Bay Packers, becoming the heart of their defense during the much-vaunted Vince Lombardi era. He led the dominant Packers defense to five NFL championships and made history by winning Super Bowls I and II.

Known for his intensity, leadership, and trademark gap-toothed glare, Nitschke was named All-Pro multiple times and was later inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1978. The Packers retired his No. 66 jersey, and he’s still remembered as one of the greatest defensive players the franchise has ever had. After his playing career, Nitschke was known for starring in the commercials for his car dealership in Green Bay, entertaining fans and locals with his trusty dog, aptly named Butkus.

But wait, that’s not all. You can earn a Nitschke item in Reel Deals by completing a H2H event and earning a token to use in a Set, but this player item is not exactly what you’d expect. He’s switching from defense to offense this time, lining up as a fullback. Just as he was a hard-tackling linebacker, he’ll take the ball from your QB and bust through even the toughest defensive line.

Peyton Manning - Middle Linebacker

Without a doubt one of the greatest quarterbacks ever to play the game, Peyton Manning’s career is hard to top. After a decorated college career at the University of Tennessee, Manning was picked 1st overall in the 1998 NFL Draft and spent 18 seasons in the NFL.

Known for his incredible football IQ and his habit of changing plays at the line of scrimmage, Manning was a quarterback’s quarterback through and through. He won five MVP awards, made 14 Pro Bowls, and captured two Super Bowl titles, one with the Colts and one with the Broncos.

Manning set record after record, and continues to gain fans as a broadcaster and analyst, on top of numerous memorable TV appearances.

But wait, you guessed it – the iconic gunslinger is available for you to earn in Reel Deals by completing a Solo/CPU event, but not as a quarterback. Manning’s new player item has him positioned at middle linebacker, bringing an entirely new dynamic to your lineup. Often considered the QB of the defense, middle linebacker is in charge of reading the offense and calling plays for his fellow defenders based on what he sees. After all, who better to read the offense than one of the greatest offensive IQs in football history? Earn him in Reel Deals and see how he can revolutionize your roster.

Longest Drive H2H Event

You asked. We answered. The popular H2H event Longest Drive is back during Reel Deals, which means you gotta make every play count – because you only get 7 of ‘em. Here’s the details:

When you have the ball, you’ve got 7 plays to score. That’s it. No first downs.
Earn extra points by:
- Sacks = 1 point for the defense
- Pass completions over 15 yards = 1 point
- Rushing TDs over 10 yards earn 10 total points
The player who leads by 28 points first (mercy rule), or whoever has the most points when the clock runs out, wins the game.
The more wins you get, the better your rewards.

Plan your strategy carefully. Will you go for a long bomb right off the bat or use all 7 plays to work your way down the field? Once you’re ready to take on the Longest Drive, gear up and face off against other players so you can maximize your Reel Deals rewards.
