Your Madden Ultimate Team is now on the clock.

The NFL Draft Program is live in Madden 26, featuring the next generation of talent from the 2026 NFL Draft Class and franchise-defining picks from previous years. 

Put together a championship-worthy team in H2H or Solo Draft modes or complete over 30 Challenges based on key past and present Draft Picks, all to earn Player Packs, Upgrade Tokens for your free log-in players, and Coins as you build towards a true 99 OVR dynasty.

Here is everything you need to know about the program, including a guide to the new events, a breakdown of all available sets, and the scouting report on the two Welcome Pack players:

NFL Draft Program Recap: How It Works, Welcome Pack

As seen during Round 1, the NFL Draft Program introduces next year’s rookie class to Ultimate Team right after they get that life-changing phone call. Following each night of the draft, head to Madden 26 Ultimate Team to see, earn, and play as the picks before they head to training camp this fall. This Program also includes players whose draft selection defined their franchise; some were introduced prior to this year’s draft, while others will arrive a few short days after “Mr. Irrelevant” is crowned.

But before checking out these new player items, scouring your inventory for who to place in Sets, entering the Draft events, or even loading up a single challenge, you’ll get two players for free:

Log into Madden to receive one of two upgradeable Draft player items with all 32 Team Chemistries. Later on April 30, you will receive the other player, so don’t sweat your first pick. Earn Upgrade Tokens by completing Challenges and NFL Draft H2H and CPU Events, then use those Tokens to upgrade your players up to a 99 OVR!

Welcome Pack Profiles

Who should you choose first as your NFL Draft Welcome Player? Both are in deep position groups and were week one starters in their rookie campaigns. One is entering his sophomore season as a 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year finalist, while the other is a two-time Super Bowl Champion worth a record-breaking contract and four draft picks over the next two drafts:

Emeka Egbuka

Emeka Egbuka came to last year’s NFL Draft with an impressive resume: a 5-star recruit that set a school record for THE Ohio State University in single-season receptions, Egbuka was selected 19th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

In his first NFL season, he rose to the occasion in a loaded Wide Receiver room, starting for the Bucs in Week 1 and earning Rookie of the Month honors. He ultimately tallied up almost 1,000 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns, just short of becoming the leader in both categories among the rookie receiving class.

Those who earned his Rookie Premiere from their Madden 25 Ultimate Team progress, or who locked in Sets for his Breakouts Champion card, know his speed and coverage separation ability well enough before picking this player item. Will he be the next Jaxon Smith-Njigba or Amon-Ra St. Brown like the draft night comparisons claimed? That’s for you to decide with your Upgrade Tokens.

Trent McDuffie

Trent McDuffie is another former late first round pick that comes with current NFL Draft implications: the Rams traded away their first, fifth, and sixth round picks for this year’s draft - plus their third in 2027 - to the Kansas City Chiefs for the right to make him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.

Following a three year starting job at Washington, McDuffie ranked as one of the top cornerbacks in the 2022 NFL Draft; the Chiefs traded up with the New England Patriots to select McDuffie at 21st overall. As an immediate starter, McDuffie made countless selfless plays to help his team win back-to-back Super Bowls, including a lockdown performance in Super Bowl LVIII that 49ers fans wish they forgot.

McDuffie was a Core Elite at launch and a solid Stocking Stuffers addition over the winter, but now you have the opportunity to realize his 99 potential as your NFL Draft Welcome player. Let him loose on DB blitzes or assign him to a speed demon running in the slot; his attitude to take any assignment necessary translates to a versatile stat spread in Madden Ultimate Team, especially at 99 OVR.

Challenges: Meet the NFL Draft Sleepers

As you watch the NFL Draft or reflect back on this year’s picks, don’t sleep on those late round selections, because your team might just pick up a franchise-defining star who leads them back to winning ways, Super Bowl glory, or become a seven-ring GOAT.

These NFL Draft Challenges shine a spotlight on players who may have gone earlier in mock drafts, but slipped later into the night - or the weekend - and proved themselves long after draft day. Learn their story on Draft Night, then show why they became the stars of today’s game. Complete Challenge objectives to earn Stars; accumulate enough Stars to earn Upgrade Tokens, Coins and Player Packs.

The final four rewards can be earned after the final NFL Draft program drop, scheduled for April 30, when the rest of the Challenges are released. These final challenges will feature additional players who outperformed their pick, as well as players from this year that may have slipped from where the consensus mock drafts had them.

Build Through the Draft Event: How to Play H2H, Offline

Put together a championship-worthy team against other MUT competitors or against the CPU in the new Draft event. Perfect for those starting - or coming back to - MUT, or for those looking to trial their favourite player items , the H2H and CPU Draft Events bring the excitement of the weekend into Ultimate Team. These events will also feature great rewards for completing those NFL Draft Sets quickly, rewarding those who know how to pick smart and play hard.

Both events will feature members of the 2026 NFL Draft Class following the weekend, but also have unique rewards and a slightly different rules:

H2H Event Guide

Go pick-for-pick against another competitor and select from the same pool of players as you build a championship-winning squad through a Draft. 

After loading into a match, you will be given a team of low-to-mid 90s OVR players and face another MUT player, first in a miniature draft, then out on the field. The pre-match draft is done snake style: Player One takes the first pick, then Player Two selects the second and third picks, then it jumps back to Player One for picks four and five… Until the draft is complete and it’s time to compete.

Expect fast-paced two minute quarter games and better rewards compared to the CPU Event, but be prepared to face tough competition from around the MUT Community.

CPU Event Guide

Unlike the H2H Event, the CPU Draft Event is about you building a team out of 20 packs and making a five game run for glory. Win all five games to get the best rewards.

yStart with a team of low-to-mid 90s OVR players, as well as your choice of a selection of playbooks, then open your choice of Defensive Fantasy Player Packs, Offensive Fantasy Player Packs, and Strategy Item Fantasy Packs, the last of which are your key to boosting players and creating a successful theme team. 

After selecting your squad, head straight into your first match and attempt to win five games in a row before losing one.

Lock In Sets, Get Your 99s

Trade in your team to earn members of this year’s NFL Draft Class, as well as Champions, Heroes, and Elites from previous years. Here’s a breakdown of every Set related to this program:

On April 30, the final round of NFL Draft Program players arrive to Madden Ultimate Team, alongside your second of two Welcome Players (the one you did not choose at the beginning of the program). We can’t spoil everything for this Drop, but know that it’s almost perfect timing for these 99s to arrive in MUT.

Top Five Tips for the NFL Draft Program

1. REMEMBER: THE DRAFT IS AN EVENT. Consistently playing the H2H and CPU Draft events are great ways to earn NFL Draft Program related rewards. Keep entering these events to not only improve your skills, but earn you packs and coins.

2. EVENTS: STICK TO ONE STRATEGY. Successful event teams build around a good Strategy Item and focusing picks across position groups. In other words, if your strategy is to pound the rock, maybe a first-round Fullback pick isn’t a bad idea…

3. CPU EVENT: RELIABLE REWARDS. Struggling in H2H Events? Take your talents to the CPU version and consistently stack up wins; while rewards may not be as high as the H2H version, they are still worth your time beyond improving your game.

4. MAKE A PACKAGE DEAL IN YOUR INVENTORY. For Day One MUT 26 players especially, consolidate your lower overall players into Sets and keep trading up to ultimately get your NFL Draft Champion.

5. DON’T FORGET THOSE CHALLENGES! Rewards like a 93+ OVR BND Draft Fantasy player item are waiting in NFL Draft Program Challenges, so leave no star unearned and you’ll be rewarded in kind.
