Invite Your Buddies to Join the Fight with Friend Referrals

Origin Access members can invite up to four friends to try Battlefield V for ten hours – free.

“You’re better with your squad” isn’t just a catchphrase in Battlefield™ V, it’s a fundamental truth. But what can you do if your best buddies, the ones you really trust to watch your six, don’t own the game and aren’t Origin Access members? You can invite them to join you on the front lines for 10 full hours with the Origin Refer A Friend program*.

How Do I Refer A Friend?

If you’re an Origin Access member you now have the ability to invite up to four friends for a week of free Origin Access Basic. That’s seven days, 168 hours, 10,080 minutes, or 604,800 seconds of non-stop PC gaming (we recommend periodic rest, food, and restroom breaks throughout – but it’s their call) at absolutely no cost.

They’ll be able to jump right into the Battlefield V Play First Trial for free. That means 10 hours of priceless “Only in Battlefield” moments to share with your friends, and they won’t spend a dime. Unless they decide to buy the game, of course, but then they’ll save 10% with the member discount and all their progress will carry over.

They can also plunder the Origin Access Basic Vault, stuffed full of incredible EA titles like Battlefield™ 1, Star Wars™ Battlefront II, EA SPORTS™ FIFA 18, and many, many more. Not to mention tons of great indie games like Sudden Strike 4, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Samurai, and Tyranny.

How Does It Work?

Sign into Origin Access (Premier or Basic) and on the main menu, you’ll see an option to invite your friends to try it out. You’ll be directed to the Refer A Friend page where you can search for your friends and send them a quick, automated email invite. All they’ll need to do is click on the button at the bottom to redeem their free one-week membership.

Want to generate a URL invite to share with a friend on social media or via email or text? You can do that, too. Just copy and paste: once they click on the link they’ll be able to click through to a special landing page where they can complete the free trial sign up process.

What if It Doesn’t Work?

If you or your friends are having trouble with the friend referral process you can check out our help page for more information. Here are some of the reasons you might not be able to invite a specific friend:

  • They’re already a member of Origin Access
  • They’ve already used a free trial in the last three months
  • They’ve already tried the Battlefield V Play First Trial
  • They live in one of the regions where this program is currently unavailable – Belgium, Brazil, and Spain
  • All four of your invitations have already been redeemed.
