How to Tackle in Madden NFL 26

Knowing the different ways to tackle can be the difference between making a crucial stop or giving up an easy touchdown.

Conservative Tackle

Press A on Xbox / X on PlayStation. This tackle reduces the chance of getting faked out.

Dive Tackle

Press X on Xbox / ▢ on PlayStation. This tackle is great when trying to prevent the ball carrier from gaining extra yards.

Cut Stick

Flick the right stick down. This tackle is best to use when facing bigger ball carriers to take out their legs.

Hit Stick

Flick the right stick up. This tackle is great to deliver huge hits and force fumbles.

Strip Ball

RB on Xbox / R1 on PlayStation. Use the strip ball mechanic when trying to force a fumble.
