A Message from CEO Andrew Wilson

Let me start by saying I am deeply honored and humbled to become EA’s CEO.  I have a profound respect and passion for this organization, as well as for our global community of fans, and I’m incredibly motivated to serve our people, our gamers and our shareholders at such an exciting time in our industry.

From my start at EA in Australia back in 2000, through stops in Asia, Europe and now North America, I’ve worked with people in this company who have consistently amazed and inspired me.  It’s my passion for our people and the great products we all impact that gives me such excitement for our future.  I hope you all feel the same level of energy and optimism that I do as we embark on this journey together.

I envision EA as the World’s Greatest Games Company.  This is not about what we are aiming for or what we will become.  Rather, it is about an unfaltering commitment to what we will be every day.  This is an attitude that must drive our culture as one team.

I also believe EA’s strategy is sound.  Our focus on our talent, our brands and our platform together with our investment in next-generation consoles, mobile and PC free-to-play, as part of our ongoing transition to digital, is right.  But we have plenty of work ahead to ensure our collective success.

In the short term, our mission is crystal clear:  We are 100 percent focused on delivering our FY14 business plan.  We have made strong progress in the first half of the fiscal year, establishing financial discipline and continuing to create a slate of fantastic games for current and next-generation consoles, mobile and PC. But now we’ve got to finish the job – execute in Q3 and Q4 and deliver on the promises we made to our fans and our shareholders.

Looking ahead, my focus will be on three things:

1. Continued transformation for our digital future;

2. Delivering amazing games and services across platforms; and

3. Instilling a culture of execution that will drive profitable growth.

In the days and weeks ahead, I will provide a greater level of operational detail behind the plan that will make these goals a reality.

I could not be more proud to lead you as CEO of EA.  Thank you in advance for your support.

So will you bring more sports games (NHL, NBA, Madden, UFC, etc.) to PC?

Want to deliver amazing services across all games and platforms. Then don't make us go with one server provider (whom have poor customer services from personal experience) with your big AAA titles such as Battlefield 4. We as community members that rent these servers for our own community/clan members need choice. Pushing us towards one supplier, will damage the game as a whole and reduce the number of quality servers for the casual gamer.

I hope you continue the recent consumer friendliness that EA has been showing. Good luck and I can't wait to see what else you guys have planned for the Star Wars license.

Could you slow down a bit with free-to-play mobile games? Dead Space and Mass Effect Infiltrator were great, yet something happened and all EA seems to be releasing on mobile platforms these days are freemium spin-offs of legendary franchises (Dragon Age, Dungeon Keeper).

Congratulations sir on your new found position. I would like to bring to your attention an issue which has been going on for several years now. System Shock, a mid-90's game that changed the gaming industry, especially with its, sequel System Shock 2. This game was responsible for a lot of the games that exist today and challenged many game designers. The legal issue dealing with the rights to make a possible System Shock 3 is making us gamers antsy, can you help us bring SS3 to life?

I don't believe there is a legal issue. EA owns the rights to the IP. Frankly I would prefer they not make System Shock 3, and that the rights go back to Ken Levine and Irrational Games. Not that I don't have faith in your company, as Visceral Games is quite qualified to make a System Shock 3, but I'd rather the rights be unused unless they are used right.

I have a few major questions, does this mean that the Trolls, and the drama from the Sims website will be gone for good and also will the Sims 4 website NOT be super messed up or the Sims 4 game will not be super buggy when we do get it? I am a true Simmer and so are my friends but lately its been getting to be too much drama and stress that we don't want to play the game anymore. Thank you and Remember: The Truth Is Out There!!!!!

It feels like you are understanding everything wrong about how people feel about EA nowdays... I highly recommend you to do like other companies and start to read what people say in forums.

If EA really want to establish market in India, then they have must reconsider price tag. Because of VPN access, purchasing from outside place, doesn't make any sense. It is not fair for Indians. If this is continued by EA not more than 100 copies will sold for next titles . Definitely, they will lose Indian Market. Who will be buying if we will getting two to three games at same price. EA have to face anger of Indian gamers >:(

Adding my voice to the people asking for the Ignite engine to be brought to the PC version of Fifa14. I think its an insult that a game thats created on the PC is only being released on the consoles in its proper form while we get the outdated version. I wont be buying Fifa14 this year and I know quite a few others arent either. I'll check next year but if it stays the same I'll most likely ignore this series completely. I have no intention of playing fifa on my consoles again.

Please bring back EA's sports games to the PC we need, want , and have been asking for this ever since 2008 and we keep getting the cold shoulder form EA. PC gamers are still here and we still hoping that EA will bring Madden back home to the PC.
