Mind-blowing gameplay highlights in The Yard are generated by new trick play animations never before seen in Madden NFL. Behind the back throws, leaping flip-catches, multiple passes in one play, and crazy extended play combinations create momentum-shifting drives that run up the score and grant bonus points. Feel the new gameplay take full effect as your ability to adapt and create after the snap is key to winning, no matter what it takes.

Gameplay in The Yard: Underground on the Madden NFL 21 Mobile app is a solo experience with five players on either side of the ball (including your Avatar). The Yard on Madden NFL 21 pits two teams of six on the field. Each team is controlled by either one, two, or three players, who have control of their unique avatar plus the NFL superstars who team up with them on the field. All of the wild gameplay you’ll experience in The Yard takes place against other user-controlled teams, either online or against AI-controlled opponents.

Create and customize your one-of-a-kind Avatar to represent you and express your individuality throughout The Yard. Swag out your Avatar with the freshest gear you’ve ever seen in Madden. Collect Rep to build your Madden Rank as you progress and earn Cred to unlock more gear.

Equip your Avatar with the freshest gear you’ve ever seen in Madden. Earn Cred by tackling challenges, rack up points, and notch W’s. Then, visit the Gear Store and swag out your avatar to stay winning in style. Keep an eye out for new gear drops all year long.

Console ↔ Mobile.

Connect and login to your EA account to seamlessly swap from your solo The Yard: Underground experience on mobile to The Yard on Madden NFL 21 online with friends. As long as you’re logged in, you’ll have access to your Avatar and inventory of earned rewards (Cred), progression (Rep, Madden Rank), and gear collection all season. Pick up and play The Yard anywhere.

Forget home-field advantage.

Access new field locations around the globe with unique vibes and varied rule sets. Whether you’re running routes at a tailgate outside Lambeau Field, lighting up the scoreboard at Miami Port, or dominating overseas in Berlin at the Brandenburg Football Festival, you can forget home-field advantage. Unlock new locations throughout the year as you progress.

Earn your Cred, build your Rep.

Earn Cred, an all-new currency in The Yard, by tackling challenges and racking up points and W’s. Spend your Cred in the Gear Store so you can swag out your Avatar with the freshest cosmetics in the game. Build your Rep and grow your Madden Rank for bragging rights. There are five tiers to Madden Rank including Newbie, Regular, Seasoned, Superfan, and Diehard.
