EA SPORTS™ WRC - CENTRAL EUROPEAN RALLY & SEASON 2 UPDATE DETAILS

A new location, Rally Pass items and Moments, check out the Season 2 Update for EA SPORTS™ WRC

The second Season of EA SPORTS™ WRC content is just around the corner, including an all-new rally location free for all players. Read the patch notes here and check out the info below for further detail.

Central European Rally - Free Update (Out December 14)

Earlier this year the FIA World Rally Championship headed to an all-new location, challenging the drivers towards the end of the season.

The Central European Rally was a unique challenge taking on three different countries in as many days. It is also the location where we celebrated the launch of EA SPORTS™ WRC, giving fans on-site some hands-on time with the game, and where EA SPORTS ambassador Kalle Rovanperä secured his second world title.

The rally took place across the borders of Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic, giving the team at Codemasters plenty of inspiration when it comes to building a challenging and enjoyable route. As part of this update players will get to experience fast and flowing Czech roads for a unique asphalt-based challenge.

In EA SPORTS™ WRC, players will be driving across over 32 unique kilometres of open countryside that dare them to go flat-out. Unlike the other asphalt rallies in-game, the road edges aren’t as closed off with walls, barriers and cliffsides, encouraging drivers to take risks by dipping a wheel or two on the grass for a wider line. Don’t stray too far though, as there’s fences, houses, bridges and barns to consider when pushing to the very limits of control.

Just like the game’s other 17 locations, Central European Rally will be available across all major game modes, including Career, across various weather conditions, daytimes and seasonal climates.

Shortly after its in-game release, we will also be hosting new events in our Official WRC and Official Historic Clubs, featuring the location. Join the Clubs now to take on thousands of players in the game’s biggest community Championships.

To get a head-start on the competition, check out our Central European Rally tips and tricks here, along with the full route list below:

This Event took place on similar stages to those found in the Rally Chile Bio Bío. Sadly, the Welsh driver retired from the Event on the 3rd leg. On the Rocks Fictional Greece Ford RS200 This Swedish crew was running in 3rd position for much of this event, and appeared set for a podium, before suffering an accident on SS18. This was a sad end to their 1986 Greek rally. Second Home Real Finland Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 HYBRID Takamoto Katsuta claimed a hard earned podium at his 'second home rally' beating Teemu Suninen in a close battle for 3rd. Sordo's Adventure Inspired Iberia Citroën C2 Super 1600 Dani Sordo won the Junior World Rally Championship in the Citroën C2 Super 1600 in 2005, before continuing on with a long and successful career with the factory Citroën WRC team after that. Lightweight Legend Inspired Mediterraneo Lancia 037 Evo 2 The Lancia 037 Evo 2 ended its stay in the WRC as more 4WD cars entered the sport, with the Lancia Delta S4 then taking its place. With a win at the Corsican round in 1984, a location well suited to the lightweight mid-engine Lancia, this car then began its graceful exit. Penalty for Pajari Real Croatia Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 Sami Pajari was able to hold onto a top 5 result at this turbulent Croatia Rally, narrowly beating rival Gus Greensmith with a 10 second penalty applied by the stewards. Record Setting Real Finland Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 HYBRID Elfyn Evans claimed the second Secto Rally Finland victory of his career, becoming only the second non Scandinavian driver to achieve this feat. The Super Metro Inspired Finland MG Metro 6R4 The MG Metro 6R4 wasn't around long enough to make a major impression in the WRC but was still able to make an impression in the minds of rally fans the world over. The MG Metro 6R4 remained popular in national championships and rallycross for many years after its debut. WRC Champion Real Oceania Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 HYBRID Thierry Neuville won this scenic Japanese rally by well over a minute, an incredible return to form for the final round of the 2022 championship season.
