The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet Access Provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address, provided such person is eligible under these Official Rules. All Entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

5.     Contest Winner Selection.

    a. Initial Random Drawing

On or about October 5, 2022 (the “Drawing Date”), Sponsor will select three hundred (300) Entries in random drawing among all eligible Entries received during the Contest Entry Period to move on to the Round One winner selection process (detailed below). Sponsor will contact the selected Entrants by email using the email address the selected Entrants used to enter the Contest. If selected in the random drawing, in order to be eligible to move to Round One, Canadian Entrant(s) will be required to accurately complete a time-based math question. Failure by selected Entrant(s) to respond to the initial verification, or failure by Canadian Entrant(s) to correctly answer the skill question, within 48 hours of notification may result in disqualification, and Sponsor may, at its discretion, select an alternate Entrant to move to Round One from all remaining valid Entries. Odds of being selected in the random drawing depends on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Entry Period.

    b. Round One

Each of the three hundred (300) eligible entries selected in the random drawing will be evaluated by a qualified panel of judges selected by Sponsor who will evaluate each Entry based on the following judging criteria of the submissions:

        i. Detail of “BFF Story” (50%)
ii. Interest of “BFF Story” (50%)

The fifteen (15) Entries with the highest overall score will each be deemed a preliminary finalist (each a “Preliminary Finalist”). In the event of a tie, the Entrant with the highest “Interest of ‘BFF Story’” score will be deemed the Preliminary Finalist. The Preliminary Finalists will be announced on or about October 14, 2022 and will be contacted by Sponsor using the email address provided at the time of entry. In order to move to the next round of judging, each Preliminary Finalist BFF 1 must contact the corresponding BFF 2, and both BFF 1 and BFF 2 must submit to a background check and must sign and return to Sponsor within 48 hours an Affidavit of Eligibility, Publicity Release (where lawful), and acknowledgement of acceptance of the rules. If the required documents are not timely received by Sponsor, if the Preliminary Finalist (BFF 1 and/or BFF 2) does not pass the background check, or if any message or mail intended for a selected Preliminary Finalist is returned as undeliverable, then the selected Preliminary Finalist(s) shall be disqualified and an alternate Preliminary Finalist(s) shall be selected pursuant to the above-listed criteria, at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

    c. Round Two

In Round Two, Preliminary Finalists (both BFF 1 and BFF 2) will be interviewed by Sponsor’s Creative Director. Sponsor’s Creative Director will meet with the Preliminary Finalists virtually and judge the Preliminary Finalists based on the following judging criteria:

        i. Personality fit with the Electronic Arts (“EA”) brand (50%)
ii. Comfortability in front of the camera (50%)

The four (4) Preliminary Finalists with the highest overall score will each be deemed a finalist (each a “Finalist”). In the event of a tie, the Preliminary Finalist with the highest “Comfortability in front of the camera” score will be deemed the Finalist. The Finalists will be announced on or about October 24, 2022.

    d. Round Three

In Round Three, the Finalists will be evaluated by a qualified panel of judges selected by Sponsor who will evaluate each Finalist (both BFF 1 and BFF 2) based on the following judging criteria:

        i. Detail and interest of “BFF” Story (33.3%)
ii. Comfortability in front of the camera (33.3%)
ii. Form, Variety, and Genre of Gameplay (33.4%)

The two (2) Finalists with the highest overall score will each be deemed a potential winner (each a “Potential Winner”). In the event of a tie, the Finalist with the highest “Form, Variety, and Genre of Gameplay” score will be deemed the Potential Winner. The Potential Winners will be announced on or about October 26, 2022.

The Potential Winners will be contacted by Sponsor using the email address used to enter the Contest. Failure by Potential Winner to respond to the initial verification within 48 hours of notification may result in disqualification, and Sponsor may, at its discretion, select an alternate Potential Winner in the same manner as outlined above. Odds of winning a Prize depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Entry Period.

6.     Prizes.

There are two (2) Prizes available in the Contest.
