Build a Family-Friendly Backyard

The right Stuff for spring and summer.

Console Simmers, rejoice! The Sims™ 4 Toddler Stuff Pack and The Sims™ 4 Backyard Stuff Pack* are available now for PlayStation® 4 and Xbox One. Let's dive into some awesome content you can expect to get your hands on with these new-to-console packs.

It's Toddler Time
Toddlers like to be entertained, and as an adult, that can be exhausting! That's why hosting a play date in The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff Pack can bring such relief to adult Sims. To host your own play date, highlight an adult Sim in your household and use their phone to "Plan a Social Event." From there, select "Play Date" and pick who you want to invite. Soon, your invited guests will be arriving along with their caregivers to help keep the fun going.

While you could host the play date inside, why not make use of that beautiful garden space by placing a slide or dollhouse, or letting the toddlers explore the colorful new tunnels? Of course, you want the young ones to be safe, not only from the world around them but from harmful UV rays, so be sure to put up shade so they have a place to take cover and cool off.

Playing with others allows your little ones to form new friendships and gives older Sims someone to chat with to form their own relationships. Adults can also use the new grill to cook up some delicious backyard grub, as everyone is sure to work up an appetite.

Make a Splash
Speaking of backyard, did we mention that Backyard Stuff is also available?

To start a splashing, sliding adventure, choose a lawn water slide, from the basic colorful options to the more elaborate Jaws of Death. That one will have your Sims sliding through the gaping maw of one of our oceans' most efficient predators. Don't worry, these jaws are way more fun, especially if you add soap, which will spout foamy bubbles on the slide and any Sims that dare to ride it.

Placing the new lawn water slide will let your Sims show off their skills, if they have any! Encourage other Sims to step up and show off by cheering them on as they gracefully make their way across the slide. Perhaps they'll delight everyone by landing that perfect trick and look super cool in front of everyone. Or, if they're like us, they'll slip, stumble, and be a mess of flailing arms and legs before coming to an undignified halt halfway across. Totally meant to do that!

To avoid being in the latter category, Sims can raise their Fitness Skill (or Motor Skill for the younger Sims) to more easily pull off some sweet tricks.

The lawn water slide is just the start of creating your dream garden, too. Use the new furniture and decorations to personalize the rest of the backyard or make everything more zen. That way, when the toddlers have worn themselves out, you can listen to the relaxing ding of the decorative wind chimes.

Whether you want to keep the fun inside or take it outside, there is something for everyone in The Sims 4 Toddler Stuff and The Sims 4 Backyard Stuff, available now!
