FIFA 12 Pro Player Tournament | Bolton Wanderers

With the rain pelting down almost sideways at Bolton’s training ground, the EA SPORTS Dugout thankfully withstood its toughest weather test yet in the final installment of our FIFA 12 Pro Player Challenge.
The Bolton players certainly know their FIFA 12, especially online and it was a tight fought encounter with 5 players taking part and a little controversy to boot.
Check out the special video below and don’t forget our Flickr gallery too at the end of the page.
Marcos Alonso got the ball rolling playing winger Chris Eagles in the first semi final. And Alonso certainly proved himself with a solid 3-0 victory over Eagles but who would he meet in the final?
Reserve keep Rob Lainton outplayed Sean Davis in the second semi winning through on pens 3-2 after a 1 all full time result.
However Lainton was whisked away from the Dugout by the medical trainer for treatment so we needed a replacement for the final.
Cue Gary Cahill - who although now is at Chelsea was playing for Bolton at the time of filming! The central defender stepped up to the plate with gusto, particularly because he always plays Lainton and enjoys beating him so much!
The final was a tight match with Alonso creating changes however his hopes were dashed when Cahill won through in the 89th minute with a header to grab the trophy!
Afterwards Marcos Alonso said, “I think he was lucky today to be fair!”
Gary Cahill said, “I had a few chances early doors but in the 89th minute I’ve nicked it!”
Congratulations to Gary Cahill, our 10th and final Pro Player Tournament winner. For the record here are all the FIFA Kings from our partner club tournaments.
