A week is a long time in football and in EA SPORTS Football Club it’s a whole season. Every Monday the season starts anew and we like to pause, take a moment, and pick over the bones of the winners and losers.
How do we work out the standings? Each day the total XP earned for your club is divided by the total number of supporters. You earn XP for your chosen club by playing in any mode and as any team - you even get XP by just firing up the game. You don’t have to play as the club you support, just play FIFA 12 and all XP totted up goes towards your club.
In our recent Facebook poll 77% of 61,000 voters thought that the English Premier League is the most competitive league going, so we’ll start our round-up there (Make sure you Like our Facebook page!)
Premier League... Clubs from outside of the top flight have been doing very well indeed in EAS FC land, and this week is no exception with Walsall winning last week’s season through the FIFA 12 skills of their 773 fans. That’s their second time as Champions and Walsall are 14th in our Global Clubs Table.
Where are the current top four in the Premier League? Current league leaders Man City and surprise fourth-spot holders Newcastle are still in the EAS FC Premier League, but in an unfamiliar lower half, Man Utd has dropped to npower League 1 while Chelsea and Arsenal are languishing in npower League 2. They have all the fans but are they good enough to get them back up the tables?
Bundesliga... FC Erzgebirge Aue may not even be in the top flight of German football, but their 510 FIFA 12 fans have powered them to the pinnacle of the Bundeslegia for the first time. Over in Italy, Catania’s 950 fans have made them champions of Serie A (again). Unión Deportiva Las Palmas S.A.D. who are in Spain’s lower tier in the real-world are perched atop the Spanish La Liga thanks to their 771 fans, completely out-of-sight of Real Madrid and Barcelona who have dropped into Liga Adelante.
Finally, in French Ligue 1, En Avant de Guingamp may only have 431 listed FIFA 12 fans and reside in Ligue 2 in the real world, but those fans are putting time into the game as their team has just walked off with its second EAS FC Championship.
Want to know how your team is doing or its current number of FIFA 12 fans? Go to the Support Your Club area on our website (Navigate through My Game Data) and you can see how your team is doing. Select any team to see the number of fans, Championships and relegations that it enjoys. Want your club to be top of the table? Play FIFA 12! Play more; win more.
