Finch Farm was the setting for the latest FIFA 12 Pro Player Tournament.
The Everton lads, fresh from training, were eyeing off the trophy from the start and rumours were rife that Louis Saha and Seamus Coleman were big FIFA players and favourites for the tournament. They were paired together for the semi finals.
Australian FIFA 12 cover star Tim Cahill was paired with Marouane Fellaini for the second semi final. So who would prevail? Watch our exclusive video below to find out!
Game on and Saha and Coleman certainly knew their way around the FIFA pitch demonstrating skill and awareness in their tight fought match.
It was evident both did not want to lose! Saha drew first blood with a cracking volley from Cleverley in the 26th. Then Coleman drew level playing as Real Madrid with Ozil in the 40th.
1-1 at half time. Saha then hit the post before Coleman broke through for a classic last minute header to take home the victory and passage to the final. Who would he meet?
Tim Cahill, that's who! Cahill stole through after a fairly tame 0-0 draw to win on pens 4-1 over Marouane Fellaini.
So to the final, and Seamus Coleman was tipped as the favourite but it was FIFA cover star Cahill who took him by surprise with a lovely finish from Edin Dzeko in the 31st. He took his lead into half time and then sealed the deal with another Dzeko header to round out an impressive 2-0 win!
"Boom! It's in the game!" cried a jubilant Tim Cahill! And speaking afterwards he said, "Yeah I'm buzzing, I got the trophy, to be honest I didn't think I'd win because if Louis had got to the final he always seems to beat me but Seamus I had the one over on him so I'm happy".
Seamus Coleman said he thought Tim will never let him live it down saying, "Of all people to win out of the four of us I didn't want him to win because he'll speak about it the most!"
Congratulations to Tim Cahill and check out our special Flickr gallery below!
