It all comes down to this. From the Middle East, to Europe, to the Americas, there have been 20 races of action. Now there's just one race left to decide the Drivers' World Championship, with rivals Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen equal on points. Whoever finishes in front of the other takes the title. If neither end the race in points positions, the Championship will be Verstappen's. Everything is perfectly poised, then, for a fascinating finale as the sun sets on this sensational season.
We simulated a special one-off F1® 2021 race at Yas Marina to see which of the two title contenders would come out on top. Max Verstappen took a mighty pole position in qualifying and with an electric start established his lead within the first few laps. Starting from second, Lewis Hamilton gave everything, pushing all the way, but couldn't find a way to overtake. With a performance from both drivers worthy of the history books, Verstappen took the title. Hamilton finished the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in second place, helping to secure the Constructor's Championship for Mercedes. Red Bull Racing’s Sergio Perez rounded out the virtual podium in third.

It's not just the F1® drivers' title that will be decided at the Yas Marina Circuit. This year's Formula 2™ Drivers' Championship is also going down to the wire.
