What is Real-Season Start?

The F1^® 2021 season is one of the closest in recent years with battles throughout the field, and Real-Season Start puts you right into the heart of the action. You inherit a driver’s points and position in the Championship as you compete with your own driver to change history. You can go back to any race that has occurred, whether that’s Imola and scoring your first points with Williams or changing the start of the Hungarian Grand Prix. Each decision and the new result will have a huge effect on the Championship, and at the end of the year, you can see how your story compared to real life.

How do you use it?

Go to Career, Single Player and select ‘Driver’, as you cannot do this in ‘My Team’. Then select ‘Skip to F1^®’ and, Real-Season Start. On this final screen, you will see the driver standings change as you scroll through the start points (Using the controller's shoulder buttons). Decide on a race you want, and use the D-Pad to select a driver you wish to replace.

Now you can get on to setting up the Career just as you want it, or you can use the recommended settings and jump into creating your driver profile. The career settings can be changed in-between races. Once set, you will find yourself in the HQ of the chosen team. You can look at the R&D and change the focus or look at your closest rivals all while you wait for the race weekend to begin. This is where you can get out on the track and start to rewrite history.

With this year’s season filled with so many stand-out moments, with many more to come, you can create a unique timeline with unlimited possibilities. Create your own F1^® season that is as nail-biting as it is in real life.
