Has improved very quickly under Harry Redknapp at Tottenham and is showing signs o becoming one of the most assured left backs in the league.

The tough tackling German put on a fine display to stifle a high flying  Mainz side that has been excellent so far this season.

Put in a good defensive performance and scored a goal as Bilbao cruised to victory over Zaragoza.

RF - Paris Saint-Germain - Ludovic Giuly 87 (84)
The diminutive wide man showed his class with two great assists for PSG and was very unluky not score himself with a savage volley.

With Diego Milito out injured Eto'o has moved back to his preferred central position and is enjoying something of a resurgence. Silenced the deplorable chants at Cagliari with a fine goal.
