This week’s team is based on national team performances, mostly from EURO 2012 qualifiers, WC 2014 qualifiers and the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
FIRST TEAM
GK INT Oman 72>79 Ali Al Habsi
Star keeper for Oman, saved everything the once-mighty Saudis sent to his direction. Kept the clean sheet and got his team through against their fiercest opponent in the group.
CB INT Guinea69>74 Bobo Baldé
Led Guinea's defense to keep the clean sheet and headed in the winner over Ethiopia which sent them 3 points clear to the top spot of the group ahead of giants Nigeria.
CB INT Finland72>74 Niklas Moisander
Captain for Finland and led his team composed to a 4-1 victory over Moldova also assisted 1 goal.
LB INT Estonia68>74 Ragnar Klavan
Estonia beat Slovenia away which is quite surprising hard working Klavan was a beast on the left flank.
CM INT Wales 76>81 Aaron Ramsey
Orchestrated Wales 2-1 win over Montenegro (their first points of the campaign) with an assist and goal
CM INT Scotland 82>84 Darren Fletcher
Played his first official game of the season with Scotland against Czech Rep. Scored once and gave an assist, the Scottish captain has been the best player of the game.
CAM INT Holland86>88 Wesley Sneijder
The diminutive dynamo ran rampant in Eindhoven as Holland embarrassed San Marino 11-0. He bagged a classy brace in the romp and his team-mates feasted on his defence-splitting passes in a record win for the hosts.
CAM INT Germany 84>86 Mesut Özil
2 goals and 1 assist in the game vs. Austria that secured the Euro qualification. Brilliant passes and very present on the pitch. Kicker MOTM.
ST INT Germany 80>83 Thomas Müller
Voted MOTM in the stadium after the game vs. Austria. Worked his socks off and once again showed his very good vision with 3 assists.
CF INT Holland85>87 Robin van Persie
The man with the golden left foot scored early and often in the 11-0 win over San Marino. He opened the scoring in the seventh minute and never looked back as he bagged four goals to fire Holland to a record win at the Philips Stadion.
ST INT Korea Republic 76>79 Park Chu Young
Asia player of the day. Korea's new captain scored a hat-trick and ispired his side to a big victory - one of the only favorites to win by y big margin in the qualifiers' opening day

GK INT Northern Ireland 72>79 Lee Camp
Made a number of smart saves, including an excellent low stop to deny Kolarov and tipped over superbly from Ninkovic but could do little to prevent the Serbian goal.
CB INT Iceland72>74 Sölvi Ottesen
The head of the Iceland defense was one main reason that Iceland could keep up their hopes until the very late goal for Norway.
CM INT Finland66>74 Kaspar Hämäläinen
Scored the first two for Finland vs. Moldova.

Leader of Team Melli, bagged a brace against Indonesia for a 3-0 win at home.

CONCACAF player of the day. Up against stiff resistance from a Caribbean side with little to lose, offered the hosts a cutting edge, carving out dangerous openings throughout the contest and laying claim to a pair of the Canucks’ goals.

ST INT Ivory Coast 70>74 Wilfried Bony
Scored a brace in two minutes in the Elephants' 5-0 away thrashing of Rwanda.
