FIRST TEAM

GK          INT         Oman    72>79    Ali Al Habsi

Star keeper for Oman, saved everything the once-mighty Saudis sent to his direction. Kept the clean sheet and got his team through against their fiercest opponent in the group.

Led Guinea's defense to keep the clean sheet and headed in the winner over Ethiopia which sent them 3 points clear to the top spot of the group ahead of giants Nigeria.

Captain for Finland and led his team composed to a 4-1 victory over Moldova also assisted 1 goal.

LB           INT         Estonia68>74    Ragnar Klavan

Estonia beat Slovenia away which is quite surprising hard working Klavan was a beast on the left flank.

Orchestrated Wales 2-1 win over Montenegro (their first points of the campaign) with an assist and goal

CM         INT         Scotland               82>84    Darren Fletcher

Played his first official game of the season with Scotland against Czech Rep. Scored once and gave an assist, the Scottish captain has been the best player of the game.

CAM      INT         Holland86>88    Wesley Sneijder

The diminutive dynamo ran rampant in Eindhoven as Holland embarrassed San Marino 11-0. He bagged a classy brace in the romp and his team-mates feasted on his defence-splitting passes in a record win for the hosts.

CAM      INT         Germany             84>86    Mesut Özil

2 goals and 1 assist in the game vs. Austria that secured the Euro qualification. Brilliant passes and very present on the pitch. Kicker MOTM.

ST           INT         Germany             80>83    Thomas Müller

Voted MOTM in the stadium after the game vs. Austria. Worked his socks off and once again showed his very good vision with 3 assists.

CF           INT         Holland85>87    Robin van Persie

The man with the golden left foot scored early and often in the 11-0 win over San Marino. He opened the scoring in the seventh minute and never looked back as he bagged four goals to fire Holland to a record win at the Philips Stadion.

ST           INT         Korea Republic  76>79    Park Chu Young

Asia player of the day. Korea's new captain scored a hat-trick and ispired his side to a big victory - one of the only favorites to win by y big margin in the qualifiers' opening day

SUBS

GK          INT         Northern Ireland              72>79    Lee Camp

Made a number of smart saves, including an excellent low stop to deny Kolarov and tipped over superbly from Ninkovic but could do little to prevent the Serbian goal.

The head of the Iceland defense was one main reason that Iceland could keep up their hopes until the very late goal for Norway.
