Multiplayer Game Modes & Maps

Modes - Crysis 2 features a total of six different multiplayer modes, including Crash Site and Team Instant Action.

Crash Site

Crash Site is a team based game mode where 2 sides compete for ownership of Alien Drop Pods which are periodically dropped into the level by a large alien Dropship flying overhead.Teams own pods by having members near by and score points over time. The pods remain in place for a set period then self destruct and the Dropship appears to deposit a new pod to fight over. The pod positions are predetermined by setup and the levels are constructed to allow them to fire down from above.A team’s score is purely determined by the points accrued from owning pods. Once a set score is reached or the time limit expires the team with the highest score is declared the winner.

Team Instant Action

Team instant action is a team based game where CELL and Nanosuit soldiers face off against each other in a team deathmatch setting. The first team to a set number of kills wins.

Maps / Locations - Crysis 2 features a total of 12 maps set in unique NYC locations with increased verticality.

Impact

The alien invasion has wreaked havoc even on Manhattan’s strongest structures. These two giant buildings have collapsed against each another, creating a unique play environment of office spaces and unusual angles.

Rooftop Gardens

Formerly a beautiful garden on top of one of Manhattan’s tallest skyscrapers, now a ruined mix of brick and glass. Make sure you’re in stealth mode if you’re trying to take in the views. Careful of the edges, it’s a long way down.
