Welcome to Week Two of the EA SPORTS NHL 13: 2012-2013 NHL Season Simulation. Simulations will be released on a weekly basis and will include top headlines, Hockey Ultimate Team Three Stars of the Week, box scores for each game, as well as standings and statistics for the league. The rosters used in the simulation will include all transactions made during the 2012 NHL Free Agency period.
Week Two (Oct.14-20) Headlines
- The Montreal Canadiens are off to a historic start, starting a season with a 5-0-0 record for the first time ever.
- New York Rangers Captain Ryan Callahan leads the NHL in scoring with eight points (1G, 7A)
- The defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings start the season with four straight losses.
- Nashville Predators off to hot start, leading the Western Conference with eight points thanks to great goaltending from Pekka Rinne.
- The Washington Capitals remain winless after six games.
- Calgary Flames defenseman Jay Bouwmeester will be out 2-3 months with an undisclosed upper body injury.

Each week, the Hockey Ultimate Team: Three Stars of the Week players will be featured in the NHL 13 ‘Hockey Ultimate Team’ mode as members of the ‘Team of the Week’.
