MUT Invitational Finals: PS4 and PS3
Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) players have been competing in the MUT Invitational for a chance to win a trip to Tiburon Studios in Orlando, Florida.
After more than a month of grueling online play, eight competitors have emerged from a bracket of 32. These competitors are coming to Orlando this week to compete inside the EA SPORTS studios,.

We sat down with each finalist to learn a little bit more about them, and the path they took to the MUT Invitational.

How long have you been playing Madden?
I have been playing casually since Madden NFL 2000, and seriously since 2013.
When did you first start playing Madden Ultimate Team and what did you like most about it?
I first played Madden Ultimate Team in 2013 because of the chance to play with my own created team of current players and legends.
How did you build your Ultimate Team?
I built my Ultimate Team around running plays on offense, and zone coverage coupled with hit power on defense.
What is your team name and how did you come up with it?
BU_TWEEZY is my team name because I want people to know who they are playing when they first get into the game.
What is your team’s OVR, and your favorite players on offense and defense?
My team's overall rating is a 99. My favorite player on offense is Cam Newton and J.J. Watt on defense.
What playbooks do you run with?
Carolina offense and Green Bay/4-3 on defense.
Which team chemistry(s) do you use?
Ground and Pound and Speed Run.
What uniforms do you use?
I use the Texans’ uniforms.

How long have you been playing Madden?
I've been playing Madden for about 10 years.
When did you first start playing Madden Ultimate Team and what did you like most about it?
This is my first time ever playing MUT.
How did you build your Ultimate Team?
I played a lot of solo challenges and online games.
What is your team name and how did you come up with it?
My team name is Doom Chubby, and it's an old name that my buddy and I came up with.
What is your team’s OVR, and your favorite players on offense and defense?
I'm a 99 overall. My favorite player on offense is Michael Vick and favorite defensive player is Sean Taylor.
What playbooks do you run with?
Carolina Panthers.
Which team chemistry(s) do you use?
Speed Run and Run Stuff.
What uniforms do you use?
The Atlanta Falcons alternate, all-black jerseys

How long have you been playing Madden?
I’ve been playing Madden regularly since 2001. I played Madden 94-97 on Sega and Super Nintendo. I really got into it in 2002, and played a lot while I was in the Navy, winning tournaments and doing well online.
When did you first start playing Madden Ultimate Team and what did you like most about it?
I started playing Madden Ultimate Team in Madden NFL 13 by chance. I saw it on the home screen when first firing it up, and got hooked.
How did you build your Ultimate Team?
I build my team through playing Head-to-Head games, bundles and trades. Luck of the packs have done me well this year. I’ve pulled LE FO #98 Calvin Johnson, 98 Peterson, 96 Watt, LE FO Andre Johnson #21, 99 Sapp. The list goes on. I’ve had pretty good luck the last couple years, and also pulled #15 LE Blue Refractor Walter Payton.
What is your team name and how did you come up with it?
The premise of the Oregon is an All-Time Chip Kelly team, with one caveat: Adding players from the state of Oregon. This includes any Philadelphia Eagles past or present, Oregon Duck, Oregon State Beaver, PSU Viking, or any player raised in Oregon. That team is not complete, hence players like Calvin Johnson and Russell Wilson.
What is your team’s OVR, and your favorite players on offense and defense?
My team's overall is 98. My favorite player on defense is a tie between Earl Thomas 99 Position Collection reward and a Brian Dawkins Elite Position Collection reward. My favorite player on offense is easily CV 87 Vick. I was lucky enough to pull him day one.
What playbooks do you run with?
I use Carolina's offensive playbook, along with the Pistol Reward playbook. On defense, I use San Francisco’s playbook.
Which team chemistry(s) do you use?
My team's chemistries are Pass Rush (96-98) and Speed Run (99). I started out with PR and Short Pass, but pulled 98 Elite Adrian Peterson and switched it up to Speed Run, along with my Chip Kelly Gold card.
What uniforms do you use?
Eagles’ home, away and Alternate Reward

How long have you been playing Madden?
I’ve been playing Madden since I was about seven or eight (Madden NFL ‘99), so about 14 years
When did you first start playing Madden Ultimate Team and what did you like most about it?
MUT 12! I was infatuated by the whole team building concept in general.
How did you build your Ultimate Team?
I built my offense around speed, and my defense around hit power.
What is your team name and how did you come up with it?
Ghostboys! At the time, I had an entire team full of ghost players so I just ran with that.
What is your team’s OVR, and your favorite players on offense and defense?
My team is currently 99 overall. My favorite player on offense is definitely Pro Bowl Cam Newton. Defensively, I have to go with Legendary Derrick Thomas.
What playbooks do you run with?
I use the Pistol & 4-3 playbooks.
Which team chemistry(s) do you use?
Short Pass & Run Stuff.
What uniforms do you use?
Eagles Home/Black Uniforms & Panthers/Patriots away uniforms.
