Here’s how to play with and against your friends online in Madden 26. 
## **To Play Madden 26 Against Your Friends**

1. From the main menu, select Online H2H. 
2. Then scroll down to H2H Play a Friend and press Start. 
3. From there, customize your desired settings and confirm by pressing A on Xbox or X on PlayStation. 
4. After that, you can invite your friends to a head-to-head game.

## **To Play Madden 26 With Your Friends**

1. Go to Quick Play in the main menu.
2. Choose Superstar KO.
3. Scroll to size and select the size of your party, with a maximum of three players, and click on the plus sign to invite your friends.
4. Next, choose the type, mode, and opponent you want, and get ready to dominate Madden 26 together.

Breaking down a defense doesn’t always go as planned — that’s where the **Playmaker mechanic** comes in. With this powerful in-play tool, you can quickly redirect your nearest receiver in real time to react to pressure, coverage, or an open field.
## **What Is Playmaker?**

- The **Playmaker mechanic** allows you to instantly change your nearest receiver’s direction after the snap, giving you full control to adapt on the move.
- It’s perfect for scrambling situations, broken plays, or finding soft spots in zone coverage.

## **How to Use Playmaker**

- **Execution**: While controlling the quarterback, **hold L2/LT**, then **flick the right stick** in the direction you want your nearest receiver to move.
- **Direction Options**: Flick the stick up, down, left, or right based on open space or the defensive coverage you’re reading.

## **When to Use Playmaker**

- **Scrambling**: If you’re rolling out of the pocket and your primary read is covered, use Playmaker to guide a receiver into space.
- **Broken Plays**: Turn chaos into opportunity by directing receivers away from collapsed routes.
- **Zone Beaters**: Use Playmaker to attack open pockets in zone coverage as defenders react to your movement.

## **Playmaker Pro Tip**

Madden NFL 26 Playmaker Mechanic


Whether it’s a field goal, kickoff, or punt — *Madden 26* gives you two different kicking meters depending on the mode. Master both styles to stay automatic in any situation.
## **Kicking Styles in Madden 26**

- **Multi Meter** – Found in **Head-to-Head** play.
- **Classic Madden Meter** – Used in **Madden Ultimate Team** and other legacy modes.

## **Multi Meter**

There are two control schemes for Multi Meter:

1. **Tap and Hold**

    - **Step 1**: Aim your kick using the **left stick**.
    - **Step 2**: **Press and hold A/X** when the arrow is in the green accuracy zone (between the two white lines).
    - **Step 3**: **Release A/X** when the power meter hits your target level.

2. **Tap and Tap**

    - **Step 1**: Use the **left stick** to aim.
    - **Step 2**: **Tap A/X** when the arrow lands in the green accuracy zone.
    - **Step 3**: **Tap A/X again** when the power meter reaches your desired power.



Stay just under the red zone on the power meter — going too high can lead to shanked or inaccurate kicks.
## **Classic Madden Meter**

- **Step 1**: Aim with the **left stick**.
- **Step 2**: **Tap A/X** once to start the power meter.
- **Step 3**: **Tap A/X again** as the bar approaches the **100% mark** for max power.
- **Step 4**: **Tap A/X a third time** when the line reaches the **shaded accuracy zone** for a precise kick.


Whether you’re setting up a coffin-corner punt or drilling a game-winner, mastering both meters ensures you stay in control under pressure.

How to Kick with Power and Accuracy in Madden 26


Here’s how to protect your quarterback and run the tricky speed option in Madden 26.
## How to Slide with the QB Slide

When scrambling with the QB, avoid big hits by sliding,  simply tap X on Xbox or Square button on PlayStation. 
## How to Run the Speed Option

When running a speed option, always read the defender with the P icon over their head; this marks the pitch key defender. 

At the snap, this defender will choose to either cover the QB or the pitch. 

If they commit to the QB, press LB/L1 to pitch the ball to your running back and create big plays. If the defender covers the pitch, keep the ball with the QB and pick up easy yards on the ground.

How to Slide with the QB Slide and Run the Speed Option


**Master the Ground Game: Essential Ball Carrier Skills to Dominate the Field**

To rack up big plays and break free for touchdowns in *Madden 26*, mastering ball carrier skill moves is a must. These techniques will help you create separation, make defenders miss, and turn short gains into game-changing moments.
## **Double Juke (New!)**

- **Execution**: Quickly flick the right stick left, then right (or vice versa) to fake out defenders in tight space.
- **Pro Tip**: Best used with players who have high agility or a juke rating of 90+.

## **Spin Moves**

1. **Quick Spin**: Release R2/RT and press O/B to quickly spin away from would-be tacklers.
2. **Wide Spin**: Hold R2/RT and press O/B to perform a wider, more aggressive spin move — great for cutting upfield through traffic.

## **Jukes**

1. **Quick Juke**: Release R2/RT and flick the right stick left or right for a snappy cut.
2. **Wide Juke**: Hold R2/RT while flicking the right stick left or right for a more exaggerated move that covers more ground.

## **Hurdle**

- **Execution**: Press △/Y to leap over low defenders.
- **Caution**: Getting hit midair can result in a fumble, so time it carefully.

## **Stiff Arm**

- **Execution**: Press X/A to stiff arm a defender and push them aside.
- **Use Case**: Especially effective when running with power backs or on the sideline against DBs.

## **Trucking**

- **Execution**: Flick the right stick up to lower your shoulder and run through a defender.
- **Ideal Scenario**: Best for short-yardage runs or when approaching contact at full speed.

## **Reach For It (New Animation)**

- **Execution**: Hold the right stick up when near the first down marker or end zone.
- **Purpose**: Your player will stretch the ball forward to gain crucial extra yards.

## **Dive**

- **Execution**: Hold ▢/X to dive toward your target.
- **Best Use**: Useful in goal-line situations or when falling forward is safer than taking a hit.

## **QB Skill Moves (New!)**

- **Execution**: While scrambling behind the line, hold R2/RT and flick the right stick to juke with your QB.
- **Why Use It**: Great for escaping pressure, avoiding sacks, and turning a broken play into a highlight.

How to Pass the Ball in Madden 26


Mastering audibles and hot route adjustments will give you the edge to outsmart your opponents. 
## **Changing Audibles** 

Press LT/L2 in the formation screen. 

1. Select the plays you want to replace with new plays.

## **Audibling Pre-Snap**

1. Press X/▢ to display the audible menu and press the icon to the new play you want to run.
2. Switch formations with the exact personnel by pressing X/▢ then pressing the D-Pad left or right. 

## **Custom Stem Routes**

Custom stemming allows you to change the depth of routes that have specific types of cuts. A popular example is a post route. 

To custom stem: 

1. Press Y/△ then select the player you want to custom stem.
2. Press and hold LB/L1 and move the left stick up to increase the depth or down to decrease the depth (Pro Tip: You can press the D-Pad up or down to change the depth in 5 yard increments).

How to Audible, Hot Route, and Custom Stem Routes


Knowing *how* to catch is just as important as *when* to throw. In *Madden 26*, mastering the four different catch types gives you full control at the catch point — whether you&#39;re wide open, under pressure, or going for a highlight-reel grab.
## **Possession Catch**

- **Execution**: Press **X (A on Xbox)** to secure the ball safely.
- **Best Use**: Ideal for tight coverage, sideline grabs, or short-yardage plays where ball security matters most.
- **Pro Tip**: You’ll usually go down immediately, so use it when you don’t need extra yards.

## **RAC Catch (Run After Catch)**

- **Execution**: Press **▢ (X on Xbox)** to catch the ball in stride and turn upfield.
- **Best Use**: Perfect when your receiver has separation and open field ahead.
- **Risk Factor**: More likely to drop the ball if hit immediately after the catch.

## **Aggressive Catch**

- **Execution**: Press **△ (Y on Xbox)** to trigger a high-point or contested grab.
- **Best Use**: Use this for jump balls, tight coverage, or when you need your receiver to go up and fight for it.
- **Pro Tip**: Pair with tall receivers or those with high catch-in-traffic ratings.

## **Spectacular Catch (Spec Catch)**

- **Execution**: Press **L1 (LB on Xbox)** to attempt a flashy one-handed catch.
- **Best Use**: Use sparingly — it looks great, but comes with a higher drop risk.
- **Pro Tip**: Combine with elite receivers known for spectacular catch ratings for best results.
