GRID LEGENDS STORY PREVIEW: DRIVEN TO GLORY GAMEPLAY

Take a detailed look at Driven to Glory, GRID Legends’ thrilling story mode

On January 21 we gave you a detailed look at GRID Legends thrilling story mode, Driven to Glory, with a 40-minute gameplay Premiere that you can watch below.

Shot using virtual production techniques that blend real sets and props with dynamic digital scenery, Driven to Glory is a classic underdog tale. Featuring an incredibly talented cast, including award-winning Ncuti Gatwa, you take on the role of Driver 22 who’s hired for struggling team Seneca Racing.

Ravenwest Motorsport comprised of Lara Carvalho, Nathan McKane, and his uncle and team boss Ryan McKane have dominated the GRID World Series for quite some time. With talented teammate Yume Tanaka beside you at Seneca, you’ll look to rise to the top and knock Ravenwest off their perch.

Whilst we don’t want to give too much of the story away ahead of launch, we gave media and content creators hands-on with the first six events in Driven to Glory to get a taste for what it’s all about.

Media Driven to Glory Hands-On

Journalists from around the world have been keen to share their thoughts on Driven to Glory. The Loadout said that Driven to Glory is impressive and captivating. GQ Spain agreed and said this first look has piqued their interest for more.

Operation Sports was keen to share their praise by saying that whilst Driven to Glory does a great job of keeping you up to date as the story unfolds, it makes sure that racing is the primary focus.

There are over 100 cars available at launch in GRID Legends and Red Bull noted GRID Legends’ mix of accessibility and realistic handling, makes you want more. Rock Paper Shotgun thought the same, in that it’s satisfying to play with a mix of realism and accessibility. Finally, Gaming Nexus shared a similar sentiment, pointing out that GRID Legends offers fun cross-platform racing.

Content Creator Driven to Glory Hands-On

For the first time, Creators were able to stream GRID Legends with KuruHS, TwoAngryGamers, AnaOnAir, Javift14 and many more playing the game live on Twitch to their followers.

Over on YouTube, ISAD and GameRiot shared long playthroughs of the first six events, with GameRiot capturing this early version of the game on the highest graphical settings at 4K.

Merginator wanted to put the Legend AI to the test by taking a Ford Mach 1 around the snowy streets of Moscow. At the same circuit, MotoGamesTV offered a glimpse of how the game plays on a wheel.

If you want a roundup of all the videos from those in EA’s Creator Network, we’ve put together a handy playlist that you can view by clicking here.

Make sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for all the latest updates on GRID Legends. We’re also on TikTok, where we’ve been sharing even more exclusive gameplay, including a look at Yokohama Docks.

We can’t wait to share more about GRID Legends’ Driven to Glory and everything else the game has to offer ahead of its launch on February 25 for Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
