Boasting the deepest, most explosive talent pool of any MMA organization on the planet, the UFC has built its reputation on showcasing the best and brightest athletes that mixed martial arts has to offer. This spring, EA SPORTS UFC will do the same.

Over the next few months we’ll reveal the roster of EA SPORTS UFC, along with screenshots showcasing their next-gen likeness for the first time.

Rich Franklin

A true veteran of both MMA and the UFC, Rich “Ace” Franklin enjoyed an incredible debut to his career, losing only one time in his first 24 professional bouts. With an elite standup game at his disposal, Franklin made his UFC debut with a TKO win over Evan Tanner in 2003, who he would later beat again in 2005 to claim the UFC Middleweight Championship and earn a coaching position on The Ultimate Fighter 2. Franklin enjoyed two title defenses at Middleweight before eventually losing to Anderson Silva. In 37 pro bouts over the course of his 15-year career, Franklin has never lost back-to-back fights.

Josh Koscheck

Since that time, Koscheck has been one of the UFC’s most active fighters, competing in the Octagon 22 times, tying him for fifth all-time in that department. With elite wrestling and a devastating overhand right at his disposal, Koscheck is always capable of ending a fight on his terms. Having suffered three consecutive losses for the first time in his career, Koscheck will be on the hunt for an all-important win the next time he steps into the Octagon.

TJ Grant

Beginning his MMA career in 2006, Canadian TJ Grant has been a UFC staple since making his debut in April of 2009 with a win over Ryo Chonan. A well-rounded fighter with a solid ground game, 13 of Grant’s 21 wins have come by way of submission. Despite kicking off this UFC career as a Welterweight, Grant moved down a weight class in 2011, debuting as a Lightweight with a win over Shane Roller. Since making the transition, Grant has been perfect at Lightweight, going 5-0 and most recently scoring a TKO over Gray Maynard.

Winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 14’s Bantamweight tournament, John “The Magician” Dodson stands out as one of the quickest fighters competing in the UFC today. Making his home in the UFC’s Flyweight division following TUF, Dodson didn’t waste any time establishing himself as the field’s No. 1 contender, rattling off three wins in four fights with only a single decision loss coming at the hands of Flyweight champ, Demitrious Johnson. Seeming to improve every time he steps into the Octagon, it’s likely that Dodson won’t have to wait too long before earning himself another shot at the title.

Chad Mendes

One of the UFC Featherweight division’s most dominant contenders, Chad “Money” Mendes has been fighting professionally since making his MMA debut back in 2008. Arriving in the UFC via the WEC where he posted a 4-0 record, Mendes entered the UFC with a perfect 10-0 record. Suffering the only loss of his career to UFC Featherweight champ Jose Aldo, Mendes has been on a tear ever since, putting together a five-fight win streak that earned him the chance to avenge his loss and claim the belt in a second fight with Aldo.

Dennis Siver

Fighting out of Mannheim, Germany, Siver has notched two Knockout of the Night bonuses, two Fight of the Night bonuses and one Submission of the Night bonus in his 17 UFC appearances to date.

An amazing 19 of Shogun’s 22 career victories have come by way of KO/TKO, scoring his most recent against James Te Huna in Brisbane, Australia. Shogun also stands as the only fighter to log back-to-back KO wins over two UFC Hall of Famers, in Mark Coleman and Chuck Liddell.

Boasting a well-rounded skill set and fighting out of his home country of Germany, Krauss has displayed a knack for finishing opponents, earning a stoppage in all but two of his 11 victories – including five first-round finishes. Being handed only the second loss of his career in his last bout, Krauss will be looking to bounce back strong in his next fight.

A former U.S. Marine, Ellenberger began his professional MMA career in 2005, before making his UFC debut against Carlos Condit in September of 2009. Winner of eight of his last 10 bouts, Ellenberger will be look to begin stringing together a new series of wins when he faces Robbie Lawler at UFC 173.

Joseph Benavidez

Martin Kampmann

During his UFC tenure, Kampmann has displayed a knack for putting on exciting fights, earning two Fight of the Night and two Submission of the Night bonuses as well as one Knockout of the Night performance. Following back to back losses to Johny Hendricks and Carlos Condit, Kampmann is currently taking some time off from competing in the UFC.

Renan Barao

Owner of a 22-fight winning streak, Renan Barao has quickly established himself as dominant force in the UFC’s Bantamweight division. After initially claiming the division’s interim title while Dominick Cruz was shelved by injury, Barao has since been promoted the official Bantamweight champion, most recently defending the strap against top contender Urijah Faber. With fellow Brazilian UFC champ, Jose Aldo as a training partner, Barao has continued to improve with every new foray into the Octagon. Always looking to keep the fight out of the judges’ hands, Barao is a consummate finisher boasting eight wins by KO and another 14 by submission.

Tim Elliott

UFC Flyweight Tim Elliott is living proof that sometimes it can take a fighter a few bouts to hit their stride. After going 0-2-1 to begin his professional MMA career in 2009, Elliott proceeded to find his groove, getting an arm raised in 10 of his next 13 bouts. Capable of getting things done whenever the fight goes, four of Elliott’s 10 wins have come by way of submission, with another three coming via knockout. Elliott notably earned one of his knockout wins over former UFC champion Jens Pulver in December of 2011.

Phil Davis

  • Nickname: Mr. Wonderful

A standout wrestler in the UFC’s Light Heavyweight division, Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis began his professional MMA career back in 2008, going undefeated in his first nine bouts. Making his UFC debut in February of 2010 with a win against Brian Stann, Davis has squared off against some of the division’s top talent including Alexander Gustafsson, Rashad Evans and Lyoto Machida. Currently listed as No. 7 in the UFC’s Light Heavyweight rankings, Davis will be looking to rebound in this next bout after having a three-fight win streak snapped at UFC 172.

Clay Guida

Guida has been a part of two Fight of the Year bouts, with the first coming in 2007 against Roger Huerta and the second in 2009 against Diego Sanchez.

Michael Bisping

After dropping down from Light Heavyweight to find a permanent home in the UFC’s Middleweight division, Bisping has proven himself to be a perennial Top 5 contender at 185lbs. Sidelined with an eye injury since 2013, The Count will be looking to string together some wins to get his name back into the title-contention picture.

Liz Carmouche

Winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 10, Nelson quickly established himself as a fan-favorite, earning a second-round TKO victory over street-fighter Kimbo Slice in his first fight of the show before going on to win the title. Despite being a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and a long time student of Renzo Gracie, Big Country has primarily stuck to his standup game during his time in the UFC, earning all his wins in the organization by way of TKO/KO.

Glover Teixeira

Possessing a well-rounded game that allows him to control all aspects of a fight, Teixeira has earned 13 of his career wins by TKO/KO with another six coming by way of submission. His five consecutive wins in the UFC have earned him a shot at the Jon Jones and the Light Heavyweight title at UFC 172.

Making his Middleweight debut in 2009, Munoz has squared off against some of the division’s top athletes including Demian Maia, Lyoto Machida and current title-holder Chris Weidman. A standout wrestler possessing excellent striking, The Filipino Wrecking Machine will look to get back into the win column when he faces Gegard Mousasi at the end of May.
