EA today unveiled a slate of titles that are now available in the Google Chrome Web Store. At a Google Chrome event, EA showcased its popular gaming destination, Pogo, which leveraged the Google Web Toolkit to transform Poppit! into an HTML5 title.

Pogo is already known to millions of monthly active users for its popular puzzle, word, card, casino and board games. Poppit! is available today in the Chrome Web Store as a free download. In future releases of Chrome, Poppit! will be bundled as a default application with the browser for free.

Poppit! has never run faster and never looked better,” said EA Chief Operating Officer John Schappert. “With Google’s Web Toolkit, we can supercharge classics like Poppit! into state-of-the-art HTML5 games for this new gaming platform.”

In addition to Poppit!, EA announced EA SPORTS FIFA Superstars, Lords of Ultima, Mirror’s Edge 2D, and Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Online are now available in the Chrome Web Store.

“The web has become an incredibly powerful platform for innovation, allowing users to do much more online than they ever imagined,” said Sundar Pichai, VP of product management for Google Chrome. “The Chrome Web Store showcases the power of the open web and we’re excited to have several gaming titles from EA as a part of it.”
