The face-breaking violence of Shank left a lot of players thirsting for more. More chainsaw, mostly. But also more art, more enemies, and more Shank. And now, after a year of waiting, your favorite ex-mobster hitman has finally set an arrival date.
Slated for February 7, 2012, Shank 2 brings back the smash with an evolved combat experience, improved controls, new weapons, smarter enemies, and more advanced combo techniques – all set against the pulp fiction-styled backgrounds of the original game. Play with a well-stocked arsenal of handguns, chainsaws, and grenades, plus all-new instruments of pain perfect for routing stubborn enemies.
Shank’s much-anticipated sequel also introduces Survival Mode, where you can team up with a friend (online or locally) to take down hordes of heat-packing goons.
Shank 2 will be available for download from PlayStation Network and Origin (for PC) on February 7, 2012. It will hit Xbox LIVE Arcade one day later, on February 8. Each version will retail for just $9.99.
